Something fishy in Riverseafingal

yes I'm on a children's TV rant again

Me Too is the latest preschooler's tv show on the BBC and it comes from the people who made Balamory (alas now finished) indeed it has some traits in common – large cast with their own jobs and songs. The show is set in the fictional town of Riverseafingal which has been computer generated by compositing buildings from cities all over the country. For example the hospital where Dr Juno works (although all she seems to do is run around singing about being busy) is really the 'Gherkin' from London, only with multicoloured windows.

Whereas Balamory started with nursery teach Ms Hooley, Me Too starts with a child (or a dog in Dr Juno's case) being dropped off at Granny Murray's Me Too child minders. Then during t he day we follow the grown up through their day and when they think of their child (or dog) you flitter back to Granny Murray's and see what's going on. You then flitter back to them - its a way of showing that kiddies (and dogs) and their grownups think of each other while apart. At some point they get a problem they must solve. This leads to a run down of the day ('where has all the time gone?' they ask) in front of a clock face (possibly Big Ben – not sure) and then they suddenly solve their problem (by remembering a bit of advice Granny Murray gave them as they left) they have a rush to solve the problem (accompanied by 'tick tocks' and a chorus from some of the regulars). At t he end of their day they return to Granny and pick up their child (or dog)

But there is something strange happening in Riverseafingal. I don't mean Rudi the fruit seller who's eyes seem strangely never to focus where they should (honestly they gave me the freaks till I found out that he's a registered blind comedian who has lost virtually all his sight – this explains why he bumps into door-frames sometimes too. Bully for him though).

Its Granny Murray. She always has two children with her in the morning when the subject of the day drops off their kids (or dog). Now as one of these folks is a night working bus cleaner that does seem a little strange but can be explained. Thing is she is in charge of these kiddies (and/or dog) on her own (well she has a shop window dummy they dress up at the start of each show) yet strange and mysterious things happen...

Yesterday Dr Juno dropped off Samson, her cute and fluffy border collie, and Granny had two children with her; a white girl and a white boy. Later on Granny took the children and Samson to the shops, except she now had 3 little black boys!! From the shops Granny popped into the hospital and arrived with 2 white boys (twins by the look of it). - er WTF!!!

Now given that Granny is a one (strange) woman organisation why do the children change?

I'm now of the opinion that Granny is in fact a witch, however one of the sort that, as Mr Pratchett would say, cackles...

No offence intended to any other witches of my acquaintance, none of whom I'm sure cackle
